Hi, I’m Elyse — (and that’s my husband, Jeff, our resident Jack Black lookalike haha).
I’m a photographer who genuinely LOVES weddings. I studied fine art photography and sort of stumbled into wedding photography along the way. From the very first wedding, I fell in love with the emotion and commitment, the family dynamics, the design and fashion, and everything happening in between.
I graduated with my BFA in photography, and that first wedding became a career I still love more than two decades later.
That fine art foundation gave me a really critical and creative eye — for light, composition, and what gives an image feeling. For me, the best photographs have both beauty and soul. I’m also pretty sentimental, so I’m always noticing the reactions, the energy in the room, and the things happening just outside the moment everyone else is watching.
I’ll step in and give direction when you need it, and give the moment breathing room when that feels right. I want you laughing, celebrating, and with your people while I’m paying attention to everything unfolding around you.
I’m a huge believer in being part of the team — from the people you’ve brought together to my own amazing crew. More often than not, I get to have Jeff photographing alongside me, which honestly makes the day even more fun. We’ve worked together for years, and there’s such an ease to being side by side.
